The Hayde Bluegrass Orchestra will be returning to The Old Theater November 1st for 2 shows, at 2:00 and 7:00.
Hayde is a seven-piece acoustic band from Oslo, Norway, that has captured hearts in both Europe and the US with their unique blend of American bluegrass and Nordic folk – a style dubbed “Nordicana”.
You don't want to miss this world renowned group performing in The Old Theater's intimate 150 seat auditorium. Tickets are $40.00, and are available at Nautical Wheelers in Oriental and New Bern, or online at www.oldtheater.org.

Join us November 1st on Middle Lane for Beaufort's Fourth Annual Day of the Dead Festival, sponsored by Beaufort Picture Show, Modelo and Middle Lane businesses. This free, fun, family-friendly event will run from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Don't miss this block party featuring authentic Mexican food and drink as well as vendors, a beer garden, cultural activities and a children's area all inspired by Mexico's Day of the Dead holiday. A special highlight of the Festival will be a touching display of ofrendas honoring lost loved ones. Orquesta K'che, a 12-piece band, will provide live Salsa music sure to get the crowd dancing! Dance instructors will also be on site for Latin dance lessons! There will also be a special free showing of Coco - an animated movie perfect for children and adults alike! Legendary singer/songwriter, Bill Gaither and the Gaither Vocal Band are bringing the Then Came the Morning Tour 2026 to your city! For more than a half century, Gaither, a multiple Grammy and Dove award winner, has been a musical trailblazer. His reputation as a performer, songwriter and mentor for newly-discovered artists is known world-wide. His beloved series of Homecoming CDs and DVDs continues to top the sales charts and attract an ever-increasing audience. Taking the stage with the Gaither Vocal Band will be Chris Blue, Ladye Love Smith, Gene McDonald, and Kevin Williams.

Erinys Quartet & Oskar Espina Ruiz Concert
Presented by the American Music Festival

Please join us for the second chamber music concert presenting Erinys Quartet and Oskar Espina Ruiz on November 14 at 7 PM at the First Presbyterian Church, 1604 Arendell Street, Morehead City, NC 28557.
The Erinys Quartet was founded in 2018 at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki where they worked closely with cellist Marko Ylönen. They are currently the graduate string quartet-in-residence at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.
The Erinys Quartet was awarded the First Prize at the 2025 Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition in Norway, in addition to other awards. They have presented concerts throughout the United States and Europe, including debuts at the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society and the Lucerne Festival in Switzerland.

Artistic director and international clarinetist Oskar Espina Ruiz will join the Erinys Quartet. Mr. Espina Ruiz has emerged as one of the leading clarinetists of his generation, praised as a concerto soloist at the Casals Festival for his “masterful virtuosity” (El Nuevo Día, Puerto Rico), and admired for his “rhapsodic ease” and “generous, tender warmth” (The Millbrook Independent) in chamber music collaborations with the top string quartets and piano trios of our time.

Background:
A local not-for-profit organization, AMF has been providing great music to
Carteret County and Eastern North Carolina for the last 37 years. A portion of the ticket
proceeds and donations to AMF go to provide music outreach programs for county
school children. AMF is supported by the Arts Council of Carteret County, the NC Arts Council, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Cultural Voice of North Carolina

An American classical crossover soprano, Lauren Jelencovich is known for her powerful voice, elegant stage presence, and ability to blend classical technique with contemporary musical styles. She has become especially recognized for her work with composer and producer Yanni, performing as a featured vocalist on international tours and recordings. Jelencovich trained in classical music and opera, yet she performs a diverse repertoire that includes Broadway, pop and cinematic music. A dynamic and captivating live entertainer, her performances are noted for their emotional intensity and polished professionalism.

North Carolina Symphony

Crystal Coast Chamber Music presents “Masterworks for Clarinet, Viola, and Piano.” The program includes Mozart's "Kegelstatt" Trio, Rebecca Clarke’s Prelude, Allegro, and Pastorale, and Max Bruch's Eight Pieces. The performers for this concert are clarinetist and artistic director Chadwick Thomas, violist Roselyn Hobbs, and pianist Yujin Lee. Admission is free, and the concert will take place at Emerald Isle Baptist Church on Saturday, December 5th at 4pm.
