Eighth Annual Sarah James Fulcher Redfish Tournament Set to Reel in Big Fun and Support for the Down East Community

Get ready to cast your lines and celebrate community spirit! The Sarah James Fulcher Foundation is thrilled to announce the return of its flagship fundraising event, the 8th Annual Sarah James Fulcher Redfish Tournament, taking place August 8th-10th in Cedar Island, NC.

This eagerly anticipated annual tournament honors the vibrant memory of Sarah James Fulcher, a beloved Down East native whose passion for life and Cedar Island's natural beauty inspired a community to unite. Since its inception in 2018, the tournament has blossomed into a beloved tradition, attracting anglers and attendees from across the region.

The Sarah James Fulcher Redfish Tournament is more than just a competition; it's a family-friendly celebration of the Down East community, featuring great food, captivating music, and some of the best red drum fishing in the world. Whether you're a seasoned angler or new to the sport, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Funds raised from this year's event will help support various community initiatives, including donations to local organizations, the acquisition of adaptive equipment, and an exciting initiative to add an Outer Banks themed splash pad to Eastern Park in Smyrna, NC.

With his music videos having Internet views exceeding 200 million and solo concert bookings in every corner of the globe, Luca Stricagnoli is considered to be one of the most unique guitarists in the world. Luca’s creative style, which led him to invent instruments like the Reversed Triple Neck Guitar and the Reversed Slide Neck, vastly contributed to the modern evolution of acoustic guitar.

He has been hailed as a phenomenon and a prodigy by influential magazines and newspapers internationally including NME, Guitar World, Der Spiegel, La Repubblica, Daily Sabah, Frankfurter Allgemeine and more.

New Bern Civic Theatre is honored and proud to welcome Luca back for his second concert appearance with NBCT, this time center stage on the historic Athens Theatre.
