Join us for our annual Puzzle Day celebration on Saturday, January 31 from 10am - 2pm in the library program room!
We'll have a puzzle and game swap, community puzzles, and puzzle crafts for all ages. We'll also have a small puzzle set aside for those who want to test their speed puzzling skills. Love word games? We'll have printable Wordles and crossword puzzles for you to enjoy, too.
This is a drop-in program, so no registration is required. All are welcome to patriciate!

It's almost your favorite time of year again...The Friends of SML's 35th Annual Used Book Sale!! The sale will be held at the Greenville Convention Center February 5-8, 2026. There will be thousands of great items to choose from, including hardbacks, children’s books, and DVD’s. See the sale schedule below:• Thursday, February 5: Friends of SML Members Only Sale 4-8 PM (Membership can be purchased or renewed at the door or online at sheppardlibrary.org)• Friday, February 6: Sale opens to the public 9 AM - 8 PM• Saturday, February 7: 9 AM - 4 PM • Sunday, February 8: $5 Bag Day 12 - 3:30 PM ($5/bag - Buy a FOL reusable bag or bring your own of comparable size)

The Unnatural Resouces Fair is a place where you can display your creations and inventions made from normally discarded materials or leftovers from a larger project. Set up and Delivery Date is February 5 from 2pm - 7pmThe work is on display for the public to view Feb 6 from 9am - 7pm, Feb 7 from 9am - 6pm and Feb 8 from 12pm - 4pm.
This event is FREE and open to the public. This year the Sheppard Memorial Library Book Sale is also taking place in the Convention Center. Reduce - Reuse - Recycle

Are you ready for a weekend of pure chocolate bliss? Get ready for the Carolina Chocolate Festival!
We're talking about a weekend dedicated to chocolate! There will be more than 25 vendors offering treats like chocolate-covered strawberries, chocolate-covered bacon, chocolate cakes, chocolate fudge, chocolate truffles, chocolate candies, and more. Find your favorites and take some home!
The Carolina Chocolate Festival kicks off on Friday with the Pro/Am Bake Off to be judged that evening, awarding Amateur and Professional divisions. On Saturday, cake will sold by the slice; also whole cakes will be auctioned off to a Chocolate Lovers delight to carry home.
Saturday early morning begins with our 5k Cocoa Run/Walk! Get your blood pumping before indulging in everything chocolate! Register online via the website.
There are additional fun activities to enjoy Don't miss the Pudding Eating contests - open to all ages! Prepare to be surrounded by the most delicious chocolate imaginable!
