The First Friday ArtWalk is celebrated on the first Friday of each month. It is a time to enjoy Downtown’s eclectic mix of restaurants, galleries, shops, and live music venues along your stroll! Enjoy amazing artwork, live music, delicious food, and local beer.
The FREE Emerald Express Trolley will run from 5:00pm – 9:00pm during all Downtown Greenville First Friday ArtWalks! Hop aboard our scenic trolley tour circulating through Downtown Greenville from Dickinson Avenue to ECU’s Main Campus, making a full ArtWalk route loop approximately every 20 minutes (construction may affect this timing).
Park your car and ride the trolley to meet up with friends and explore your city. You can hop on and off at any stop!

Clarinetist and Eastern North Carolina native Dr. Chadwick Thomas announces the launch of Crystal Coast Chamber Music, a new chamber music series based in Emerald Isle. Through this series, Thomas aims to expand opportunities to hear live classical music along the North Carolina coast and to share his passion for chamber music with the community.
This inaugural concert will feature Thomas in a clarinet and piano recital with pianist Dr. Yujin Lee, a member of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra and an acclaimed chamber musician. The program includes works by Aaron Copland, Francis Poulenc, André Messager, and others.
The performance will take place Sunday, April 12, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Emerald Isle Baptist Church. Full details about the concert and artists are available at www.crystalcoastchambermusic.org. Hank, Pattie & The Current perform at The Old Theater in Oriental on April 17 at 7:30 p.m. The North Carolina group blends traditional bluegrass with influences from classical, Motown, jazz, and pop. The New Bern Historical Society’s Heritage Homes Tour invites you to tour homes from two historic neighborhoods. Those in the Downtown Historic District date back to the revolutionary period and those in Riverside are inviting homes from one of New Bern’s first suburbs. Join the crowds May 1-2, 2026 from 10am to 4pm. Soak up the history in 10 enchanting homes in 2 historic neighborhoods.
The 2026 self-guided tour includes very exceptional homes in the Downtown and Riverside Historic Districts, ranging from glorious to cozy, and everything in between. These are family homes with rich stories that illustrate New Bern's amazing history. Add creative floral arrangements, live music, gardens in bloom, historical churches and you’ll enjoy a very special day.

Great White will perform live at the 5th Annual Celebration on the Sound. The evening begins with a Tailgate on the Patio at 6:00 p.m., featuring food trucks, beverages (beer, soda, and water), and music to kick off the event. Guests will then head inside the Crystal Coast Civic Center for a full concert as Great White performs their iconic rock hits.
Impact:Proceeds from every ticket support Carteret Community College students and programs.
