The Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County presents the 48th Annual International Folk Festival, a free celebration of the music, dance, food, art, and cultural traditions that make our community unique. Festivities begin Friday, September 25, from 4–8 PM in Downtown Fayetteville, followed by the signature Parade of Nations on Saturday, September 26, from 10 AM–Noon. The celebration continues Saturday from Noon–7 PM at Festival Park with live performances, international food, cultural demonstrations, vendors, and family-friendly activities.

Financially Fit 5K & Fun Run
Run Toward Financial Freedom

Join Money Box Academy for a fun, family-friendly 5K and community experience designed to help our community move toward healthier bodies, smarter money habits, and stronger futures.

Whether you are a runner, walker, beginner, family, or competitive participant, this event is for you. You can run for time, walk at your own pace, or simply come out to support a mission that is making a real difference in Fayetteville and surrounding communities.

Proceeds support Money Box Academy’s free financial literacy programs for youth, families, seniors, and small business owners.

Race Experience
Competitive runners are welcome. Our goal is to provide timing and recognize the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place race finishers. All other participants are invited to run, walk, or move at their own pace.

Families are welcome. We will also have kid-friendly activities, music, vendors, and community fun throughout the event.

Emerge Gallery & Art Center, City of Greenville Jaycee Park Center for Arts and Crafts, ECU College of Fine Arts and Communication, Pitt Community College, Pitt County Cultural Arts and Recreation, and Pitt County Schools announce the 22nd Annual Youth Arts Festival. The event is scheduled for October 17, 2026 from 10:00am – 4:00pm at South Central High School.

This year’s festival will feature visual, musical, and theatrical arts booths where children can participate in creative activities making their own masterpieces. There will also be performance-based activities including puppet making, storytelling, music, and interactive theater. Last year, more than 5,000 people attended the festival, with 1,000 plus performers, mostly students from Pitt County Schools. The festival is free and open to the public. This will be a rain or shine event. Parking is free.
