The Coastal Carolina Chapter Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) is running its Fall Membership Drive from September through December 2025.
The Coastal Carolina Chapter is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization and is seeking enthusiastic, dedicated individuals who want to “continue to serve” and give back to their community. Membership is open to those who hold or have ever held a warrant or commission in any component of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Public Health Service, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, or Space Force and their surviving spouses.
Our focus is college scholarships for military dependents, Toy for Tots, local JROTC and ROTC units, Wreathes Across America (WWA), and other community veteran support.

The 39th Annual North Carolina Seafood Festival is one of the area’s most popular, drawing in more than 200,000 people to Morehead City. The festival provides residents and visitors alike with great entertainment, family fun, and most importantly, the best seafood you’ve ever tasted. Food lovers have the chance to sample just about every piece of seafood imaginable or learn how to prepare their own with chef cooking demonstrations. The North Carolina Seafood Festival also features amusement rides, music concerts, a road race, pier fishing tournament, and sailing regatta. For food, you’ll find seafood such as calamari, “Down East” clam chowder, and charcoal mullet, as well as carnival classics like funnel cakes and even a wide array of desserts. Live music is offered at three different stages with continuous acts playing, all of which are free to attend. There are carnival rides and arcade games for the kids.

Gear up to groove to the timeless beats of Motown. Join us as our talented faculty members bring the iconic sounds of Motown to life through original choreography. This dance concert promises to be a spectacular celebration of the music that defined a generation, featuring hits from legends such as The Supremes, Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder. Feel the rhythm, groove to the beats, and let the soulful melodies transport you back to the golden era of Motown. Our dancers will captivate you with their energy, passion and creativity, making this a performance you won’t want to miss.

Barbershop at the MAC!!

Coming on Sunday, October 5 at 3:00 pm at Magnolia Arts Center, The Carolina Chord Connection will be providing an afternoon of entertainment with a cappella barbershop harmonies, songs in a variety of styles, and jokes!

A BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS
Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1801 S. Elm St. Greenville, will celebrate the Feast of St Francis of Assisi with a drive-thru Blessing of the Animals on Sunday Oct. 5th from 3-4:00 in the church parking lot. Free-will donations will be accepted to benefit Pitt Friends Rescue. Pet treats and certificates will be given

Among the pantheon of music’s finest artists, Bluegrass artist Del McCoury stands alone.
