One year ago Wednesday, an armed shooter killed a professor at UNC Chapel Hill. Since then, the university has changed how it trains for an active shooter.

The ask comes after some colleges have had to turn to hotels to house students during energy crises.

The proposal would allow some higher performing students to not submit standardized tests. The consideration comes as many universities across the nation are re-implementing test requirements in applications.

FAFSA is a federal student aid program, and on Saturday, dozens of colleges will help families fill it out as part of FAFSA day.
