Kirsty is a young woman living in Garenin with her widowed mother and sister. She dreams of moving to America with her boyfriend, Murdo, but their plans are abruptly interrupted when he and other young men are called to serve in The Great War. The town holds a cèilidh to honor them before they leave the following day. Later that night, Kirsty is attacked by an unknown assailant. An examination by the village doctor reveals that she has been raped. The police are brought in to investigate, leading to numerous challenges for Kirsty as she navigates her emotions, faces difficult decisions, and learns to cope with the trauma she endures. Come Again is a social respite program where people in early to middle stages of dementia spend time with trusted, trained volunteers in a safe, judgment-free space. We aim to bring joy, friendship, and purpose to everyone while giving care partners a chance to rest. Activities include fellowship, music, art, movement, and service projects, plus a hot lunch. Starting May 1, Come Again meets every Thursday from 10 am to 2 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church, 2311 Elizabeth Ave. There is a small fee to attend. Come Again honors our loved ones living with dementia by lifting up their remaining strengths in a supportive, creative and purposeful way. Join us at the museum for our Movies on Madison movie series! We show the movies on the museum lawn, the lawn will open an hour before the movie starts and the movies will begin at dusk. Our movies are family friendly, so no alcohol or smoking is allowed. Bring your blankets or chairs! Refreshments will be available for purchase. Check our Facebook page for the monthly movie choices! Our first movie is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990) on May 19th.
