Into the Woods is a 1986 musical by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine that intertwines the plots of several Brothers Grimm fairy tales, such as “Little Red Riding Hood”, “Jack and the Beanstalk”, “Rapunzel”, & “Cinderella”, exploring the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests. The musical is tied together by a story involving a childless baker and his wife and their quest to begin a family, their interaction with a witch who has placed a curse on them, and encounters with other storybook characters during their journey. The show covers multiple themes: growing up, parents and children, accepting responsibility, morality, and finally, wish fulfillment and its consequences.

The Coastal Carolina Chapter Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) is running its Fall Membership Drive from September through December 2025.
The Coastal Carolina Chapter is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization and is seeking enthusiastic, dedicated individuals who want to “continue to serve” and give back to their community. Membership is open to those who hold or have ever held a warrant or commission in any component of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Public Health Service, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, or Space Force and their surviving spouses.
Our focus is college scholarships for military dependents, Toy for Tots, local JROTC and ROTC units, Wreathes Across America (WWA), and other community veteran support.

Come Again is a social respite program where people in early to middle stages of dementia spend time with trusted, trained volunteers in a safe, judgment-free space. We aim to bring joy, friendship, and purpose to everyone while giving care partners a chance to rest. Activities include fellowship, music, art, movement, and service projects, plus a hot lunch. Starting May 1, Come Again meets every Thursday from 10 am to 2 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church, 2311 Elizabeth Ave. There is a small fee to attend. Come Again honors our loved ones living with dementia by lifting up their remaining strengths in a supportive, creative and purposeful way. Two Screenings at 2:30 and 7:30 PM

For the Belier family, sixteen-year-old Paula is the essential interpreter for her deaf parents and brother. Despite her family's inability to hear, Paula has a notable talent for singing and is rehearsing songs with her choir. Her teacher encourages her to audition for a prestigious music college in Paris, which would pave the way for a promising future.

Paula tries to balance her family responsibilities, all while dealing with her demanding music teacher and a crush on Gabriel, the other star of the school choir. Will Paula leave her family for a future in music?

The First Friday ArtWalk is celebrated on the first Friday of each month. It is a time to enjoy Downtown’s eclectic mix of restaurants, galleries, shops, and live music venues along your stroll! Enjoy amazing artwork, live music, delicious food, and local beer.

The FREE Emerald Express Trolley will run from 5:00pm – 9:00pm during all Downtown Greenville First Friday ArtWalks! Hop aboard our scenic trolley tour circulating through Downtown Greenville from Dickinson Avenue to ECU’s Main Campus, making a full ArtWalk route loop approximately every 20 minutes (construction may affect this timing).

Park your car and ride the trolley to meet up with friends and explore your city. You can hop on and off at any stop!

Habitat for Humanity of Craven County is holding the second annual Hammer it Home fundraiser. This year’s Western-themed event, “Hammer it Home . . . on the Range,” will be held on Friday, Nov. 7, at the Pavilion in Carolina Colours from 6-9 p.m. HFHCC has set a fundraising goal of $50,000 for this year’s event, which will feature a Reverse Drawing, where the winning ticket will receive $5,000, and a Chair-ity Live Auction, showcasing 11 hand-painted chairs created by local artists. Participants will be treated to heavy hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, giveaways, and line dancing.
