The Gig in the Park is a spring concert series in Wilson, NC. Every other Thursday from April 11 - June 6. Join us at the Vollis Simpson Whirligig Park from 6 PM – 9 PM.This spring concert series is free and open to the public. Feel free to bring a chair or blanket. There will be food trucks along with beer and wine for purchase. Please no outside beverages or coolers.

An uplifting concert by the Purvis Chapel Choir will be held at one of the oldest AME Zion churches in the state. A great community event to celebrate the kickoff of the Beaufort Historical Association’s Old Homes Tour weekend. Tickets are $20 with the net proceeds to be given to the chapel.

Joslyn Hall (in the McGee Building) at Carteret Community College is the venue for this, the opening event in the American Music Festival's summer music series Hot Jazz on the Crystal Coast. If July isn't hot enough for you, the Washington, DC-based Vaughn Ambrose Sextet will warm things up. The sextet features Vaughn Ambrose on tenor and soprano saxophones, Kenny Rittenhouse on trumpet, Shannon Gunn on trombone, Deante James on piano, Zack Pride on bass and Angel Bethea on drums.

Joslyn Hall (in the McGee Building) at Carteret Community College is the venue for this, the fourth event in the American Music Festival's summer music series Hot Jazz on the Crystal Coast. Vocalist Janinah Burnett joins the Greensboro, NC-based Steve Haines Trio, comprised of Greg Hyslop on guitar, bandleader Steve Haines on double bass and Alston Harris on drums.

The festival, Oct. 4-5, will bring to town several bands and solo artists with bonafides from across the music industry, representing traditional and new-age bluegrass, folk, country rock, and Americana, as well as French jazz, swing, and gospel. The festival will open on both days at 11 am and end at 6:30 pm. More than 20 bands and solo performers have committed to the festival. All performances are free.
The Ol’ Front Porch Music Festival presents two days of music on the front porches of homes around Oriental and on a Riverfront Stage. All performances are free. The festival also features a Village Market showcasing dozens of local and regional artisans and crafters, and a Food Park that offers selections from area restaurants in cooperation with local nonprofit organizations.
