The Unitarian Coastal Fellowship of Morehead City is pleased to announce a Social Justice Film Series about various social justice topics, from racial justice to environmental issues to LGBTQ+ rights. Showings will take place in the church’s sanctuary. All films will be free to the public, and there will be ten films in total. Check our website and social media for full list of films.
Under Conductor Patrick Ritsch, Beaufort County Choral Society will perform three concerts titled "Ad Astra! To the Stars!" The concert will be held at three different venues. FREE and family-friendly. Guest performers, J H Rose High School Chorus, and ECU musicians. The concert is a tribute to the night sky and includes nocturnes, ballades, spirituals, and fun, familiar tunes. You won't want to miss this unique performance.

The City of Greenville is seeking artwork submissions to honor the their 250th Anniversary. Artwork should be based on the theme: "What you enjoy most about Greenville." There will be monetary rewards for winners in multiple age groups. The City of Greenville will reserve the right to reproduce the art for public display and the art will be part of an exhibit in the fall at City Hall.
Artwork submissions on 8.5 x 11 sheets of paper. Participants will upload the artwork digitally or deliver it to City Hall (200 W 5th Street). Submissions are eligible from the entire community for ages 18-under.

The Coastal Carolina Chapter, Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) is recruiting new members during its Spring Membership Drive from April 1 to May 31, 2024.
Coast Carolina Chapter is an all-volunteer, nonprofit military, veterans organization and is seeking enthusiastic, dedicated individuals who want to “continue to serve” and give back to their community. While we support MOAA’s national goals, our chapter’s focus is serving the needs of military members, veterans and their families in Beaufort, Carteret, Craven, Green, Jones, Lenoir, Pamlico, and Pitt counties.Membership is open to those who hold or have ever held a warrant or commission in any component of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard, Public Health Service, and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and their surviving spouses.
Our chapter offers college scholarships for military dependents and supports a wide range of veteran related community activities such as Toy for Tots, the North Carolina Veterans Home in Kinston, local high school JROTC and ECU’s ROTC programs, and Wreathes Across America (WWA).

Join us for a free 40-minute behind-the-scenes look at the Bonehenge Whale Center. Learn about the marine mammals, including bottlenose dolphins, that live off the coast of North Carolina. The preparation of marine mammal skeletons for educational display will also be covered. The Bonehenge Whale Center operates as a partnership between the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources and the Carolina Cay Maritime Foundation. Please donate ALL through the month of May. Our Eastern NC migrant workers who pick our fruits and vegetables need long sleeve cotton t-shirts during the hot summer months. They need protection from the sun, chemicals, and cuts. Please donate new or gently used t-shirts all sizes for men and women.
Oriental's new exhibit explores the long history of lighthouse lore in our area and of the seven lighthouses from Corolla down to Oak Island along the North Carolina Coast. The Steamer Oriental went aground on the Outer Banks near the site of the original Bodie Island Lighthouse.
What will you learn? What lights a lighthouse...what do the various patterns and colorings of the lighthouses mean...which lighthouse and keeper's home was moved... which lighthouses are still in operation...what it's like being a keeper...were there female keepers?
