What Fossils Are and What They Tell Us: Paleontology in Eastern North Carolina
George Powell, amateur paleontologist, has discovered several fossil specimens in Aurora, NC, which have been donated to the Smithsonian Institute. These include fossils of ancient walrus, stingray, and birds from the the early Pliocene Era. He will tell us about his finds and will be happy to identify any fossils you may have found. Please bring these to the meeting.
