Celebrate National Honey Bee Day on August 19, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. with Beekeepers of the Neuse. Local, raw honey is available for sale to support the efforts of Beekeepers of the Neuse, a non-profit organization. This event is free and open to the public.
Learn about honey bees with local beekeepers from the Wayne County Chapter of the North Carolina State Beekeepers Association. See all aspects of beekeeping from equipment to extracting honey and find the queen in a living honey bee colony. Kids will enjoy making a natural beeswax candle and learning about beekeepers and their bees.
Enjoy antique farm equipment and food vendors.
