Our chapter offers college scholarships for military dependents and supports a wide range of veteran related community activities such as Toy for Tots, the North Carolina Veterans Home in Kinston, local high school JROTC and ECU’s ROTC programs, and Wreathes Across America (WWA).

Kids’ Cove is a free-play program designed for children ages 0-5 and their caregivers with a different maritime themed craft and wiggle activity each month. This is a screen-free program meant to help caregivers connect with their little ones, each other, and their local maritime heritage. The program is designed so that participants can stay for as short or as long as they want, arriving and leaving at any time during the scheduled program. Programs do not build on each other, so you can participate in one, all, or some without feeling left out. Programs are held on the second Wednesday of each month from 9 to 11 a.m. and on the second Sunday of each month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. They start an hour before the museum opens to the public, allowing families to experience the museum uninterrupted. Pre-registration preferred. To register, call 252-504-7758 or visit ncmaritimemuseumbeaufort.com.

May 13 Monday
Every Monday, the Army Recruiting Station is having an educational brief on benefits and incentives you can receive from serving in the US Army and US Army Reserves.
Please donate ALL through the month of May. Our Eastern NC migrant workers who pick our fruits and vegetables need long sleeve cotton t-shirts during the hot summer months. They need protection from the sun, chemicals, and cuts. Please donate new or gently used t-shirts all sizes for men and women.
