Music series beginning on Thursday, May 21, 2026 -- held every Thursday until August 6 -- hosted by the Town of Beaufort in John Newton Park. This event is sponsored by the Dock House Restaurant and Freedom Boat Club. This will be different genres of music during this series. General info and FAQ's are attached below.
Rock the Docks:No outside alcohol permitted at this eventAlcohol can be purchased and consumed in John Newton Park, provided by the Dock House RestaurantSignage will be placed to indicate restrictions on where this can be purchased and consumedParking next to John Newton Park will be closed from 2pm-8pm.This is a pet and family-friendly event The stage will be 24-feet long, placed in the adjacent parking lot.Spectators will be able to park golf carts behind the stage in the west side of the parking lotAttendees are encouraged to bring food and non-alcoholic beverages from nearby businessesMusic of all different genres will be presented across the 12-week seriesTown will have tent along with other sponsors/vendors at event

The 12th annual Ol' Front Porch Music Festival at the riverfront in Oriental, NC is Friday and Saturday Oct. 2-3, 2026. Free this year and every year, it showcases a dynamic mix of nationally touring artists and regional favorites. Music begins Friday at 1pm and Saturday at 11am on the Riverfront Stage on the Neuse River and on porches throughout Oriental. Final Riverfront shows each day start at 5pm. Golf cart shuttles along the festival route provided. Americana, bluegrass, zydeco, roots, Latin, gospel, jazz, country, folk. Not just great music. Eclectic mix of arts and craftsmen. And it's a foodie destination!

For more than a half century, Gaither, a multiple Grammy and Dove award winner, has been a musical trailblazer. His reputation as a performer, songwriter and mentor for newly-discovered artists is known world-wide. His beloved series of Homecoming CDs and DVDs continues to top the sales charts and attract an ever-increasing audience. Taking the stage with the Gaither Vocal Band will be Chris Blue, Ladye Love Smith, Gene McDonald, and Kevin Williams.
