Teenage Shakespeare

Teenage Shakespeare

This event will serve as a kickoff to the 2026 ESU Annual High School Shakespeare Contest. Students and teachers will receive information they need for their school competition. School winners meet at ESGS on February 7. The winner of that competition advances to the national finals in New York City on April 27. Dr. Catherine Loomis, professor, lecturer, and writer of essays and books on Shakespeare and Queen Elizabeth I, will talk about the lives of teenagers in Shakespeare’s time, at Shakespeare’s own teenage years, and at the use Shakespeare makes of teenagers in his plays. Donations will be accepted for Epiphany Friends of the Arts.
