Shine a Light on a Future First Annual Luminary Launch An Oriental Woman’s Club Event
Shining a Light on a Future event will launch lighted parchment luminaries into the Neuse River from Lou Mac Park in Oriental NC. Buy a lantern for $25.00 and write a message on it such as a wish, a renewal, a memorial, or a message to the universe. The tea-light lit lanterns will float and drift from 7-9pm. Please join us for a quiet evening and take this opportunity to meet new neighbors and visit with old friends. All lanterns will be retrieved at the end of the night to ensure no pollution to the river.
