New Bern Garden Club members are launching sales of their Children's Sustainability Activity Calendar Coloring Book entitled, "You Can BEE Green." The book is an educational tool designed to encourage children to do fun activities to look after our planet, so that they and others can enjoy the healthiest happiest life in the future. The professionally bound and printed calendar books that were designed and created by New Bern Garden Club members make great gifts priced at $15 each. People of all ages are invited to come to our booth at the Farmers Market and talk with us about teaching children the critical skills of reduce, recycle and reuse and how children can help make a difference by protecting animals, plants, insects, water an all the other natural resources in our environment.
Printing of the calendars was underwritten by The Harold H. Bate Foundation and C21 Coastal Advantage so that all proceeds of "You Can BE Green benefit First graders at Trent Park Elementary School and the Judge Gaston Law Office in New Bern.
