National High School Shakespeare Contest

National High School Shakespeare Contest

Students from Eastern North Carolina compete in the 42nd annual National High School Shakespeare Contest conducted by The English-Speaking Union of the US (ESU). The regional final, sponsored by the Colonial NC Branch of the ESU will be held in the auditorium of the Epiphany School of Global Studies. Each student participating will be a winner of their school contest. They will perform both a Shakespeare monologue and a sonnet from a select list. The winner will qualify for a trip to New York City in April to compete in the national finals at Lincoln Center.
