Greenville Museum of Art to Present "Archiving Place"

Greenville Museum of Art to Present "Archiving Place"

he Greenville Museum of Art (GMoA) announces the opening of its new exhibition, "Archiving Place," on October 3, 2025. On display through March 14, 2026, this exhibition in the West Wing and Commons Galleries features textile artists from the Southeast.

"Archiving Place" uses textile art to explore the concept of place through each artist's personal experience, from physical geography and culture to emotional and virtual spaces. The featured artists are all members of the Southeast Fibers Educators Association (SEFEA), a group committed to preserving textile traditions while exploring new artistic boundaries.

The museum invites the public to the opening reception on Friday, October 3, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, for light refreshments and a chance to meet the artists.

Admission to the museum and all exhibitions is free and open to the public.
