The NC Museum of Natural Science/A Time for Science and the Cypress Group of the NC Sierra Club are presenting an Earth Day Celebration Saturday April 20th, from 10am till 4pm at A Time for Science, 949 Contentnea Lane, Grifton, NC 28530. This is a free event.

Activities include free kayaking, hourly planetarium shows, guided trail hikes, prize drawings, and over 20 environmentally themed exhibits and vendors. Learn more about native plants, live reptiles, beekeeping, recycling, vegetarian cooking, and more. Live music will be provided by Twisted Knot Celtic Band (10:30am), Bill Redding and Friends (12:30pm) and NuClear Twins (2:00 pm). Food items for purchase will be provided by our food truck vendors including Skylight Inn Barbecue and Chicken, Ayden, NC, Blu Lotus Thai/Vegetarian Food Truck from Youngsville, NC, and 32 Below Ice Cream Truck, from Kinston, NC.
