Auditions for "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum"
Travel back to ancient Rome in the classic comedy A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to The Forum. Featuring a score by the legendary Stephen Sondheim, the original 1962 Broadway production won six Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
A Funny Thing Happened… is a nonstop laugh-fest in which Pseudolus, a crafty Roman slave, struggles to win the hand of a beautiful, but slow-witted, courtesan named Philia for his young master, Hero, in exchange for freedom. The plot twists and turns with cases of mistaken identity, slamming doors, and a few trips around the seven hills of Rome…and a showgirl or two.
