Early Voting in Eastern NC: A look at the primary ballot in Pitt County

Jared Brumbaugh

Early voting for the May 17 primary elections began last week. PRE’s Meredith Radford has more on the primary ballot in Pitt County.

There are two Democrats running for Pitt County Board of Commissioners in District 1. They are incumbent Ann Floyd Huggins and Mildred Sneed.

Greenville Mayor and City Council seats are decided in nonpartisan elections. The current mayor of Greenville, P.J. Connelly, is running against Elizabeth Liles. For Greenville City Council, District 5 and the At-Large seat each have one candidate who is running unopposed. Districts 1, 2, 3 and 4 have two candidates each.

Early voters may cast their ballot at one of five polling locations in Pitt County. There are four voting sites in Greenville and one in Winterville.

For Public Radio East, I’m Meredith Radford.
