Havelock school bus struck in hit-and-run incident

A Havelock Middle School bus in Craven County was involved in a hit-and-run yesterday afternoon. PRE’s Meredith Radford has more. 

  

  

The Havelock Police Department responded to the incident at around 3:50 p.m. Tuesday. According to a news release, the school bus was struck from behind, resulting in very minor damage to the bus. There were approximately 20 children on board; none were injured.   

The collision took place near Havelock Middle School. The suspected vehicle was described as a white Toyota Highlander driven by an elderly-looking white female. It was last seen traveling east on Webb Boulevard after the collision.
