The East Carolina University Contemporary Writers Series Presents A National Poetry Month Reading by Michael Waters and Mihaela Moscaliuc
Mihaela Moscaliuc is the author of the poetry collections Cemetery Ink, Immigrant Model, and Father Dirt. Associate professor of English at Monmouth University, she has published scholarship in the field of Romani Studies, on issues of representation, appropriation, exophony and code-switching, and on the works of Kimiko Hahn, Agha Shahid Ali, and Colum McCann. She is the Translation Editor for Plume.
Michael Waters has published thirteen books of poetry, most recently Caw and The Dean of Discipline. His new book, Sinnerman, will appear in 2023. He has edited a number of anthologies, including the classroom staple, Contemporary American Poetry. A 2017 Guggenheim Fellow, he has been the recipient of five Pushcart Prizes, fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, Fulbright Foundation, and the NJ State Council on the Arts.
