The Shrimp Dip is an annual “polar plunge” event held January 1 of each year in North Topsail Beach. Participants meet on the beach at 10am at the public access across from Beach Bum’s and run into the water at noon.

The Shrimp Dip is hosted by the Rotary Club of Sneads Ferry and sponsored by local businesses. Each year a local nonprofit organization that supports individuals with disabilities is chosen to receive funds raised through t-shirt sales and direct donations. This year’s recipients are Able Buddies NC of Onslow and Pender County.

Beach Bum’s Pizza Bar & Grill hosts the after-party and donates a portion of their food sales to the cause.

There is no registration or fee to participate in this event. Just show up at the beach and join in on the fun!
