Impacts of CAFOs (concentrated animal feeding operations) on water quality and pollution in North Carolina

Cypress Group members of the NC Sierra Club invite the public to join them at their program February 13, as Larry Baldwin, North Carolina CAFO coordinator for the Waterkeeper Alliance, describes the seen and unseen effects of CAFOs (concentrated animal feeding operations) on water quality and pollution in North Carolina. Eastern North Carolina is one of the country’s predominant locations for hog industry CAFOs, and the negative impacts of CAFO’s on water quality are widespread.
The program begins at 7 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 11 Oakmont Dr., in Greenville. The live program is also accessible by Zoom.
