Educational Session for Senior Citizens ("The ABC's of Getting Your Affairs in Order")
First Christian Church (DoC) of Grifton will host two educational forums, in June, for senior citizens, caregivers, and those planning for retirement.
On Saturday June 3rd at 1 p.m., Attorney Jim Purnell will speak on “The ABCs of Getting Your Affairs in Order.” The session will review legal documents every senior citizen should consider having. Purnell works at White & Allen in Kinston.
On Saturday, June 10th, at 1 p.m., Rick Zeck and Alexis Welch will discuss “What the Pitt Council of Aging and the AARP Can Do for You.” Zeck is the Executive Director of the Pitt County Council on Aging, and Welch is a representative of AARP.
Both sessions will be at the church at 579 Queen Street in Grifton. “Our church is very invested in reaching out to others, and we’re confident that these free educational sessions will be a great benefit,” noted Rev. Jamie Haddock, Pastor of FCC. For more information, call 252-864-5297.
