Friday is the county canvass--the final tally of votes from North Carolina's 2022 midterm elections.
All this week local elections boards and precinct judges in each of the state's 100 counties have sifted through ballots, conducted hand-to-eye audits, verified provisional ballot applications, and counted mail-in votes from civilians and military personnel.
Now the state elections board will reconcile the number of people recorded as having voted with the number of ballots cast - and then meet on November 29th for official certification of the results.
