Remembering Civil Rights Icon John Lewis

NPR
Published July 24, 2020 at 12:40 PM EDT

The late congressman and civil rights icon John Lewis died one week ago Friday.

We remember his legacy by reflecting on the powerful words he spoke through the various speeches he delivered over the course of his life.

On Friday’s NPR Film Club with host Tonya Mosley, we’re honoring the life of John Lewis and speaking with Dawn Porter, director of “John Lewis: Good Trouble.” Join the event on Here & Now’s Facebook page at 5:00 p.m. ET / 2:00 p.m. PT.
