Cartoonist 'Steenz' Hopes To Have Her Comic Strip 'Reflect The Real World'

Christina “Steenz” Stewart is one of the few women of color to draw a daily nationally syndicated comic strip now that she’s taken over “Heart of the City” — a comic about a white girl growing up in Philadelphia.

Steenz (@oheysteenz) talks with Here & Now‘s Tonya Mosley about how she wants the strip to reflect diversity but also tell stories that are “eternal.”
