Man Gets Apple Watch Back 6 Months After Losing It At The Beach

RACHEL MARTIN, HOST:

Good morning. I'm Rachel Martin. A surfer named Robert Bainter was having an awesome day in the waves. He was riding a big one at Huntington Beach when he realized his Apple Watch had fallen off. He tried Apple's Find My Phone app - nothing. He assumed it was lost into the deep blue. Six months later, a guy called to say he had found it about three miles down the beach. When he returned it, Bainter was surprised to discover that the Apple Watch still worked. Now, if Apple could only make my iPhone battery last longer. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
