Shelters Strained As Homeless Population Up For First Time Since 2010

Homeless shelters across the country have been strained by the cold weather, and by a population of people who are homeless that is up for the first time since 2010, according to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, which released its latest figures in December.
