European Union Fines Google $2.7 Billion After 7-Year Investigation

The European Union fined Google $2.7 billion Tuesday, the result of a seven-year investigation into whether the company manipulates its search results to benefit its own services.

Meanwhile, several major companies are forming the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism in response to growing calls for companies to help curb the spread of online extremism. And speculation continues about Mark Zuckerberg’s political ambitions.
