NPR's chart-topping entrepreneurship podcast heads to innovative cities across the country

Award-winning host Guy Raz to interview entrepreneurs, movers and shakers in New York City, San Francisco and Seattle

June 21, 2017; Washington, D.C. - NPR is pleased to announce the inaugural three-city tour of its entrepreneurship podcast How I Built This. The live-event series begins July 12 in New York City featuring host Guy Raz in conversation with Jonah Peretti, founder and CEO of BuzzFeed and co-founder of The Huffington Post. The live podcast tapings will continue to San Francisco and Seattle and feature a special interactive experience supported by American Express OPEN.

Tickets for the New York City taping at the Silas Theatre at the School of Visual Arts are on sale now via NPRPresents.org.

"We are living in a new age of discovery. Innovation and creativity are being driven by ordinary people with extraordinary determination," adds host Guy Raz. "How I Built This is a show that gets to the heart of that determination. And now, with the chance to take these conversations in front of a live audience, we'll be able to inspire a whole new generation of innovators and dreamers across the country."

After its successful 2016 debut, How I Built This earned accolades from outlets like The Washington Post, Forbes, Esquire, WIRED, BuzzFeed and Refinery29, and quickly established itself atop Apple Podcasts charts.

Prior to each podcast live-taping, audiences are invited to participate in a special interactive event with Guy Raz as he explores the entrepreneurial history of each city.
