Iran’s Tasnim news agency says four assailants have been killed after two apparent terrorist attacks in the country Wednesday that left at least 12 people dead and more than 40 hurt.

ISIS is claiming responsibility for the attack, and it’s the first time the group has taken credit for an attack in Iran. Here & Now‘s Robin Young speaks with Karim Sadjadpour (@ksadjadpour) of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace about what makes the attack so unusual.
