Nashville's Love For Hockey Precedes The Predators, With The Dixie Flyers

The Nashville Predators are tied 2-2 in a series with the Pittsburgh Penguins for the 2017 Stanley Cup. It’s a stunning accomplishment for the Predators, who have never been this close to a championship.

But there are a few Nashville fans who can trace their enthusiasm for hockey back much further — to the first professional hockey team to play in Nashville: the Dixie Flyers, who took to the ice nearly four decades before the Predators.
