This week Venezuela’s Supreme Court gutted the power of Congress, which is the only real opposition to President Nicholas Maduro. Critics say the move will allow a dictatorship in Venezuela. Maduro’s approval ratings have plunged, inflation is rampant and oil prices have fallen.
