This week has added more to the love-hate relationship Donald Trump has with the media.
At least four people resigned from conservative news organization Breitbart News over the handling of an alleged incident during a Trump event between reporter Michelle Fields and Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski.
To hear Marco Rubio tell it, journalists are the reason for Trump’s rise.
“I spent 10 months and 28 days campaigning on issues and no one covered it other than when they had to,” Rubio said. “And the minute I started talking about someone they started cutting in live to every one of my speeches. So the media has failed us in this discourse as well.”
But Trump didn’t sound too thankful Tuesday night, talking about how the campaign has been so far.
“By the end, if you get to the end you can handle a lot of things, including pressure. That I can tell you because there’s nothing like it. Lies, deceit, viciousness, disgusting reporters — horrible people. Some are nice.”
