Ukraine Launches Airstrikes Against Militants

The Ukrainian government has launched an air strike on the airport on Donetsk just a day after that country’s presidential elections brought a pro-Western businessman to power.

The recently rebuilt airport had been seized by pro-Russian separatists earlier today, and they remained in place after a government-imposed deadline for them to vacate the premises.
