Early Voting in Eastern NC: What's on the ballot in Craven County

Early voting is underway in Craven County for the May 17 primary elections. PRE’s Meredith Radford has details.

There are two candidates each running for Districts 3, 4 and 5 of the Craven County Board of Commissioners. This includes Dana Outlaw, New Bern’s current Mayor, who is running for District 4.

Craven County’s Board of Education has two candidates running for the District 4 seat, and two running for District 6.

Four people are running for mayor of New Bern, including former Police Chief Toussaint Summers. For New Bern’s Board of Alderman, there are three candidates each running for Wards 1 and 2. Candidates for Wards 3, 4 and 5, are running unopposed. Two candidates are running for Ward 6.

There are four early voting sites across Craven County in New Bern, Cove City, Vanceboro, and Havelock.
