Early voting begins for many municipal elections across Eastern NC

Jared Brumbaugh

Early voting for the Nov. municipal elections started Thursday across Eastern North Carolina.

Carteret, Duplin, Edgecombe, Greene, Jones, Lenoir, Martin, Onslow, Pamlico, Pender, Pitt, Tyrrell, Washington, Wayne, and Wilson counties all have municipal elections in November.

Many of these elections have in-person early voting and absentee voting, but not all.

Early voting for these elections will go until Oct. 30, and Election Day is Nov. 2nd.

Elections in Mount Olive, Princeville, Rocky Mount, Tarboro, Jacksonville, Greenville, Plymouth and Wilson City were rescheduled to 2022, along with all of Craven County’s municipal elections.

You can visit the State Board of Election’swebsite to find more information on early voting for municipal elections in your area.

You can also visit your county’s board of elections website for information on your area’s voting locations and dates.
