Governor Cooper Waives Rules Hindering Law Enforcement Trainings In The Pandemic

Governor Roy Cooper signed an Executive Order to allow some law enforcement training classes to continue during the pandemic, according to apress release. The order waives rules that would cause law enforcement training classes, which require multi-week trainings, to have to start over from the beginning if there was a postponement or rescheduling due to a COVID-19 outbreak. With the rules waived, Governor Cooper said in the press release that law enforcement can continue to serve and protect communities by receiving the training they need.
