New Bern, NC – From the culture to the environment, the Neuse River plays a vital role in eastern North Carolina. It flows 250 miles from the Piedmont to Pamlico Sound and provides drinking water to 400,000 Raleigh-area residents. Nevertheless, a recent report ranked the Neuse as one of the 10 most endangered rivers in the nation. Ashia Majors has this story.
