The Onslow County Health Department announced Monday that they will offer extended hours for their COVID-19 vaccination clinic. The clinic, located in the Consolidated Human Services building in Jacksonville, will be open until 6:30 p.m. this Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for first dose vaccines and booster shots. OCHD will also stay open an extra two hours on Nov. 22, 23 and Nov. 30th-Dec. 2. The health department says the extended hours are necessary to help families wanting the vaccine, but unable to take off from work or school to receive it. OCHD offers all three types of COVID-19 vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson) along the recently approved Pfizer dose for children ages 5-11.
