Coming Home to Farmville: A Tribute to Roberta Flack
Join us for an intimate celebration of a legend. Before she was a global icon and four-time Grammy-winning superstar, Roberta Flack shared her gifts right here as a teacher in Farmville. This February, her story returns home.
On Friday, February 13, 2026, Walker Entertainment, Farmville Community Arts Council, Emerge Art Gallery, and the African American Music Series present 'Roberta.' This is more than a concert—it is a multi-sensory experience. The concert features Glyra & The Rakeim Walker Project, a stellar lineup of artists, and special guests, we are bringing her timeless songbook to life through music and movement. More details to come!
Set during her birthday month, Black History Month, and Valentine’s weekend—and marking the one-year anniversary of her passing—this evening honors her legacy of love and social consciousness.
