Jones County cut the ribbons on two key emergency facilities on Monday.

The new Emergency Services Station 2 in Pollocksville was funded by a state grant, while renovations on the Emergency Operations Center in Trenton were supported by state dollars and a USDA Emergency Rural Healthcare Grant.

Local officials said the new facilities will enhance their ability to deliver timely, safe, and effective emergency care.

Annette is originally a Midwest gal, born and raised in Michigan, but with career stops in many surrounding states, the Pacific Northwest, and various parts of the southeast. It’s possible that a -27 day with a -68 windchill in Minnesota may have also played a role in that decision. She has also worked as a diversity and inclusion facilitator serving school districts and large corporations.
