The Town of Plymouth will soon be installing license plate readers.
The town council unanimously approved the more than $60,000 project, which will be funded by a grant from Congressman Don Davis’ office.
The cameras scan plates as cars drive past and alert police if the vehicle is part of a criminal investigation. They can also capture video.
