The Beirut Memorial Wall is closed temporarily so that water damage can be repaired.
The work will fix the wall’s granite panels, and officials say the memorial and the small parking lot next to it will be closed through late July.
The rest of the Lejeune Memorial Gardens will remain open.
The Beirut Memorial wall was built as a tribute to the 273 Marines killed in Lebanon and Grenada on Oct. 23, 1983.
