NWRC: No spring recreational season for Southern Flounder in NC

There will be no recreational spring flounder season in North Carolina.

The N.C. Division of Marine Fisheries said preliminary data from the recreational fall season indicated that removals of Southern Flounder exceeded the total allowable catch by 25,000 pounds.

The dates for the fall recreational season will be announced at a later date.
